Hey friends! Happy granny square day 2022! I wanted to spend this day sharing a granny square pattern I made specially! This pattern includes the instructions on how to make the granny square itself and a cute little gift bag which is centered around the granny square.

Whenever I'm stuck for what to make, I always turn to granny squares! They're quick and cute and any project involving them is perfect in my eyes!

This pattern is made up in two pieces which are then sewn together. There is a 'petal-like' top to the bag, which looks great when it is drawn together. The ribbon meets at the front of the bag and is tightened by a bow.

This is an intermediate pattern, for crocheters who have a good level of knowledge of basic stitched and granny squares.

I've shared the details on what is required for the pattern here, to give you more information before buying the pattern.

You can get the pattern on my Etsy store, here: https://etsy.me/3QPbUuf

I will be available to help you via email with any queries you might have while making this pattern.

Materials

4 Seasons Brighton Cotton Blend 8ply (50% cotton 50% acrylic, 50g, Approx 95m)

You will need a main colour and a secondary colour

One ball in colour ‘Cream’ - this is the main colour

One ball in any colour (the colour I used is no longer available) - this is the secondary colour

Size 4.5mm hook

Tapestry Needle

Scissors

42cm of cream ribbon (no thicker than 1cm)

Alternative yarn suggestions: I would recommend doing this pattern with either a cotton or cotton blend yarn because they will hold their shape better than other yarns.
