Apple Berry Baby Blanket - Crochet Pattern

Hey there! I'm back with another crochet pattern, this time for a small baby blanket! I've been working on a lot of big projects lately, so having something simple and quick has been such a nice relief, and this pattern was just what I needed. The stitch is easy and it didn't take too long to make either. It's perfect for beginners who know the basic stitches and how to change colours!

I've made plenty of blankets before, but I've never made a baby blanket, so I had to do a bit of research before deciding what size to make it. I figured I'd go with a small blanket, perfect for a crib or stroller, just because it seemed like a good place to start. I'm glad I didn't make it any bigger because the blanket is just that right size where it can be used for almost anything baby related (even as a sort of towel if you use cotton yarn).

I had almost no trouble picking out the colours, I knew I wanted them to be pastels and as gender-neutral as possible, but I had to change up some of the colours at the last minute because I couldn't source some that I had in mind, but I still think it turned out cute (and even thought it has blue, who says it has to be for a boy?)

I created the stitch pattern for this blanket accidentally after I made a mistake making my Pumpkin Stitch pattern. I've decided to call the stitch the Apple Berry Stitch (hence the name of the blanket), it is a combination of single crochet and double crochet. I will be releasing a tutorial for the stitch in a couple of days, when it is posted I will link to it here so you can learn how to make it yourself.
